It is certainly a pain, but bugs happen and if Apple is aware of it hopefully they will deal with it quickly, since as unavoidable bugs go, this is an ugly one. What WAS avoidable was the flaw on the itunes site. There should be a button for redownloading software you have already bought. Most of the casual gaming sites such as RealArcade have a feature like that. It seems to me many of the problems Apple has had with the iPhone 3G rollout are due to hubris.Not only did they not anticipate certain problems, like the activation day rush, but they see.ed to have assumed there would be NO problems at all. Why would you need to download an application again if the iPhone and iTunes are both perfect. Apple seems to have thought the iPhone was unsinkable. Could there be an iceberg in Apple's future?
