Sure, the tilt might get bounced down a bit the at&t hierarchy, but it's highly doubtful that it would fade quickly into oblivion. I agree with Jericho that due to the high customizability of WinMob devices, like the new manilla 2d, I would also hang on to it quite a bit...It's strength is in it's novelty , the tilting screen which really draws glances when you set it up on a flat surface, and mad props to at&t because it was able to keep it a carrier exclusive (here in America anyway) long before the Iphone...So unless at&t acquires a new phone with the same tilting mechanism, 5-8 MP of camera (and please keep the front facing camera), a faster processor (with complete drivers, at&t you have your name plastered on it too so a bit of help with future device problems that may arise) and some good sized ram and other bells and whistles, I'd say thanks but no thanks to that bridge to...err...to the htc fuze...

EOL for the Tilt? Meh. I'm getting more mileage now than ever with the ROMs from the wizards at xda-devs. (It can only get better when Android gets ported). ROM flashing is highly recommended in my book. I'm torn between having a keyboard (it is handy for texting) and going without. I do wish for a capacitve screen for better tactile finger response. I like the TouchHD specs, but I'm holding on to my Tilt a good while longer.

The HTC Touch HD has already caught my interest. Though I love my Tilt, I've discovered that I rarely use the keyboard, and I really miss the better resolution of my old Axim. Something that's still WinMobile, has a larger higher-rez screen, does away with the keyboard, and offers a more standard earphone jack -- I'd gladly upgrade.

Damn, I will miss the "tilt" feature. Don't understand why that's not being included in the new lineup of HTC devices. From all my reading on these boards (including the AT&T board) I don't recall anyone posting of any mechanical issues with the tilt feature.

I love my Tilt. Is the Touch Pro aka Fuze really replacing the Tilt? I wish the successor has the tilt feature. It really is a very handy feature. I will for sure buy the Touch Pro once it comes out. But wow we have to wait until the end of this year and damn why does Sprint have to be the first carrier for the Touch and Touch Pro? Their network is horrible. I never get reception when I'm at the cabin. That kinda sucks. But yea overall I can't wait for the Touch Pro to come to AT & T and I will undoubtedly hold on to my Tilt for as long as I can.

What ever it is, I hope that it will have better battery life, better video drivers, and an OS that is not full of bugs like WM 6.1

Even though the Tilt is a great device, it will be replaced by the Touch Pro (Raphael) or/and the Sony Xperia X1.

I doubt that the screen will 'tilt' but eventually the king of AT&Ts phones has to be replaced sooner or later. The Tilt had a great run though.
