The original iPhone sold very well when it only had EDGE, no installable applications (unless you jailbroke) and no video camera in spite of other phones (including some Windows Mobile phones) having those features. Do you really think Apple fans will give a Windows Mobile phone a chance at all? Other phones might end up selling better than the iPhone, but I don't think you'll really see a true "iPhone killer". You’re forgetting one thing, though — the cult of Apple, as I mentioned above.

The original iPhone sold very well when it only had EDGE, no installable applications (unless you jailbroke) and no video camera in spite of other phones (including some Windows Mobile phones) having those features.

Do you really think Apple fans will give a Windows Mobile phone a chance at all? Other phones might end up selling better than the iPhone, but I don’t think you’ll really see a true “iPhone killer”.
