Personally I like the UMPCs particularly the Shift. While it has its flaws I had the opportunity to review one and really enjoyed it,but the price point drives it out of the park for most people as does most of the other umpcs. The netbook howvever give the features needed by most people with good battery life and at 2lbs is easy to carry around. With prices below $500 for many of them. Microcenter here in Atlanta is offering the Aspire one for 349 amazing.I particularly like the new one coming from Lenovo. 10" screen 2.1lbs and just over $400. I aggree with you 100%.
