Hello. I have to tell ya, at first that was the main factor for me because I thought it would be cool to have sitting around with the screen tilted up.

Now that I have had it for about 9 months this feature is actually used very little. I find that alot of the times when I have the phone in hand and trying to type something that with the screen tilted, it is actually in the way a little.

I was just thinking about this just the other day when I was looking at the new Sony X1 with the Arc slider. Thinking that the Arc screen could be really cool, and I threw the idea around of selling my tilt to get the X1. After all they have just about the same overall features and hardware. Keyboard layout and Arc screen being the points of interest for me.

So I guess the tilt's screen was what got me to buy the phone over something else.

Strange to think something like that is really what swayed me to buy it.

well, the tilt screen wasn't the selling factor, but it makes a big difference. my other half has an older 8125, and I have the tilt, and when we fly we like to rip a few movies from DVD onto our phones. Add a set of noice cancelling headphones, and our phones are a great way to watch movies. The tilt is great because you just set it on the tray in front of you and watch the movie. On the other hand, non tilting phones like the 8125, you have to prop up with something, or hold it at an odd angle, and for a two hour movie it gets rather uncomfortable.

Whoops, forgot to add my disclaimer to that. I'm sold as long as they fix some other well known performance issues of the TYTN II...we all know what they are.

I think the more important question is would you prefer future TYTN phones to have the tilting feature. I would definitely say yes, I use it that feature all the time. It also gives the Tilt a unique flavor compared to other phones. If there is ever an announcement of a true Tilt 2, consider me sold.

Funny thing is, I never tilt the screen...
