It is really amazing how technology has advanced, in a form factor less than the size of an old floppy disc Toshiba has created a hard drive with double the capacity of my laptop’s formerly advanced hard drive-and it is only 6 months old <sigh> which makes it a dinosaur in the tech world. If Moore’s law is faltering in the possessor arena it can certainly be found in the storage department. I remember only a year and a half ago going to Costco to get a one gig flash drive for a great deal only 85 dollars. The other day I bought one for 5 bucks.

They certainly picked a great day to announce this, the same day as Apple announced their new Ipod lineup. Toshiba must not have been paying attention when they picked a date to announce this.
