sssI have been a SCOTTEVEST person ever since I got my first vest years ago.  There was something about that vest that just exuded a special character along with an amazingly comfortable feeling as I wore it.  Over the years I have had the opportunity to review a myriad of products that have followed in the SCOTTEVEST tradition of high quality, comfort and versatility. After opening and seeing the  NEW Scott Jordan Signature System, it is possibly the best jacket that SCOTTEVEST has produced.

In this first of two videos, I share with you my experience as I open the NEW Scott Jordan Signature System. Quite simply, it is absolutely amazing! Comfort, quality, style and function set the Quantum Jacket apart from any other jacket on the market today. Unlike previous Systems, this one DOES NOT CONNECT providing you with the advantage of being able to utilize all pockets easily when both garments are used together. The Quantum Jacket is a high quality waterproof, breathable, wind resistant winter jacket with 28 well planned pockets and compartments that keep you organized.

In the second of this two part series,  I share my experience with the NEW Fleece 5.0 which serves as the “undergarment” when worn with the NEW Quantum jacket.  My first impression as I looked at, felt and tried on the Fleece was “WOW”!  It had an extraordinary feel, incredible comfort and typical of all SeV products, quality throughout.  Made of a lightweight  micro fleece, it has reflective piping on the front and back for safety at night and 24 pockets to carry all those items you need for the day!  What is new and unique with the Fleece 5.0 (as well as the Quantum) is the incorporation of a clear touch fabric in the interior pockets allowing you to easily see and use your gadgets while stored in a pocket.

The beauty of the “system” is you have all the cool and cold weather covered.  You can wear the fleece when it is not so cold and add the extra layer with the Quantum and experience warmth, versatility with a total of 52 pockets and extreme comfort.  The Quantum does NOT have removable sleeves but the Fleece 5.0 does giving you great versatility in how (and when) you wear it.

The Scott Jordan Signature System allows you to keep yourself covered and warm through several seasons.

  • Don't Panic!
Hi Jack, Is there a pocket for laptops on the back like the 2.0 version jackets had? If not where would you put an Asus 901 in this system? One more question; Exactly how clear is this clear pocket technology? Would I be a walking tech exhibit or is it more discrete than that?
  • I have always liked SeV products but this jacket is just the best. It fit perfectly with (or without) the fleece on. Both are extremely comfortable and will handle what I like to carry with me easily.
  • That's a nice introduction, Jack. Now that it's cooling down I'm looking forward to using my recently discontinued 237D and stuffing it with gadgets and such. Such awesome workmanship IMHO went into that jacket...
