Use the iPhone to Prevent Drunk Driving?

I hate to be a pessimist, but if I am getting drunk my judgement is too cloudy to even think about popping out an iPhone to visit a website. I have been sober since October of 1998. The weekend before Halloween will mark my 10 year anniversary, so this is not something I think I would ever use. Maybe for some of you, it might be a good tool.

I got word about a new website, rather than it being an iphone appication, it is a webpage formatted for viewing on the iPhone that helps give you an estimate of what your BAC is. This URL can obviously be viewed from any phone too.

Now you can use your iPhone to make a smart decision before getting behind the wheel. Available via a .mobi website, the B4UDrink calculator is the fastest, easiest way for you to determine your Blood Alcohol Concentration from your cell phone. A simple, easy-to-use interface lets you type in key facts about your alcohol consumption to learn whether you’ve had too much to drink and it’s time to call a cab.

Developed by The Century Council as part of their Blood Alcohol Educator program, the B4UDrink calculator was created to make it easy for you to access no matter where you are or what situation you may be faced with

This tool could save your life. Check it out on your mobile device or online http://www.b4udrink.mobi/ and let us know what you think.

grins..only joking Chris, and shhh..dont tell anyone but have even been tempted by the Iphone myself since my X50v is now wifes satnav and I cant face watching movies on the Mogul screen. Just beats me why everyone keeps using the Iphone in their advertising, especially when its for a website, do they really think it makes the advert so much more eyecatching?

btw did put an only joking comment in brackets after the fanboy comment but when I hit the submit the joking comment had disappeared..
  • The reference to this website in regards to iPhone is the fact that the email I received telling me about the site referenced it as such. The quote in the post was from the email. I added that it could be accessed by any other phone/device.

I am far from an Apple fanboy, but I do own and sometimes use the iPhone.
