A few days ago I commented about the Celio Redfly adding support for BlackBerrys. I came across that bit of information first while researching to purchase a Celio RedFly myself and then while I’ve been …

LG Incite Hands On Video 1st Look

Posted by Chris Leckness on November 19, 2008 – 8:21 pm
closeThis post was published 11 months 19 days ago which may make its actuality or expire date not be valid anymore. This site is not responsible for any misunderstanding.

Yesterday AT&T announced the LG Incite. The Incite is an attractive Windows Mobile 6.1 phone with a 3″ touchscreen and a 1300mah battery. It has an adequate amount of memory and a 528mhz processor. I am not too sure how well I will do without an actual keyboard (slide out or front facing). Unless LG has added some touches to the default Windows Mobile keyboard, I will most likely have to try a 3rd party on screen keyboard.

In this video, I just rip the box open, show the goodies you get inside and do a quick look at the hardware. The software walk through will come later.

Some readers/viewers here and on Youtube have mentioned that the videos are sometimes too long and that I should break them up into easier to eat portions. I am going to try that out for the next couple video 1st looks.

PS. There is a heads up on upcoming contest details in the video as well.

    Chris~
I'm interrested in the video capturing & playback time. Some actually say 60 mins video playback.
And just to make sure I understand correctly, it has wi-fi which means you can access the net for free? Correct?
    Thank you

aGPS is a bit of a downer, but still I'm looking forward to seeing the software video. Just looking at it though I kind of feel like the screen is too small for an on screen keyboard to be very effective unless you're using the stylus, which is disappointing for a device without a physical keyboard.
  • aGPS... :(

    Chris,

Does it have real gps or the monthly-charge a-gps? ATT does not have the spec's. for the gps on their site. Could always us a blue tooth gps with it to avoid the monthly charge I suppose.

    Thanks

Hey Chris! Thanks for getting this 1st look out so fast :) When you do the software review can you see how good the sensing is on the sides of the screen? I looked at the Epix in store and the touch sensor on the sides of the screen weren't very good and it was difficult to use scroll bars with just your finger but I'm hoping maybe LG did better.

    Thanks!!
