It\'s is possible that the information within this article is now out of date or updated.

geddes When Jimmie Geddes, Editor over at Gadgets on the Go first received his T-Mobile G1, he had terrific battery life but then all of a sudden it changed.   He disabled Wi-Fi, and GPS thinking that would make a difference but it did not. Then he started to see that other G1 owners were suffering the same issue via this Android Community thread .

He called T-Mobile customer care, told them about the issue and the rep told him that T-Mobile was aware of the issue and that they were working with HTC on a software fix but in the meantime they would send out a replacement battery, and to keep the original as a backup.

If you have a G1 and you are experiencing issues then maybe a call to T-Mobile is in order.

That is what happens when you buy new technology immediatly: you pay a high price and it is almost a prototype.
If you wait a little bit, you can get it cheaper, and already debugged (not in beta).

On my side I'm also waiting so they support 3G speed on Rogers network in Canada.

I have the G1 and I am definitely experiencing this problem. I hope it is resolved soon. Tmobile did send me out a new battery, but between the two, I may get about 4 hours of talk time. This is very disappointing, considering I waited so long for this phone. Hopefully, when the problem is resolved, they will at least take care of the ones who purchased the phone and had to encounter this problem. Perhaps a new and improved battery.

If you turn off auto sync It save so much more battery so my guess would be its a software issue the auto sync feature of the phone
