Where are the Zune Giveaways?

I have gotten several notes from readers asking why I haven’t given away anymore Zunes lately. Enough of them that it warrants a post.

All the Zunes that I have given away here, excluding the Blue Zune 8 which was given to me by Microsoft, have been purchased by me out of my own funds. Why? Two reasons to be honest, the 1st is building a community. One of the things most people love is the chance to win. It brings in readers that might not have known about the site until the contest. The other reason is kind of sappy. I sincerely want to see Zune succeed. I still do. When someone that only knows one thing gets to try another thing, they are willing to give it a chance and may end up liking it. That said, I like to get these out there to give others a chance to try things. Those are the reasons I gave away so many Zunes. Notice the word “Gave”? Yes, I don’t really plan to have many more contests here, if any

Sorry for this. I still want Zune to succeed, I still love my Zunes. I still plan to share my love for Zune here on this blog, but I can not spend my own money on contest prized to evangelize for Microsoft anymore.

PS. I will have the video/photos of the Goods and Orange Zune that I bought for my personal collection this weekend for sure.
