With Vista I'd had to go through turning of themes, services and things like DWM to make it really usable (it ended up looking like Windows 2000!) With Win7 I was able to install "out of the box" and with no customisation everything just works. Small niggles so far in that I can't get the camera or the arrow keys working (lack of drivers/config app) but hopefully that's coming...
