Love it or hate it, the iPhone is here to stay. I have one and I think it’s a nice phone. I still prefer my WinMo phones more though. Right now, I am using the HTC Fuze. There has been a ton of news to report about the iPhone, so I decided to throw it all in one post.

Global Dominance. Ok, Dominance is a strong word, but the numbers are quite amazing.  According to Gizmodo, the iPhone has grabbed a 16.6% market share of the World Smartphone market. On a postive note, Windows Mobile has seen a little increase this year too.

iTunes Promo Codes. Why didn’t they think of this earlier? It only makes sense. BGR is reporting that Apple has enabled the iTunes store with the ability for a developer to create promo code for their software. This is going to make reviewing iPhone apps easier for most that don’t want to drop the small fee that most apps cost. I can’t believe this wasn’t in place when the app store was launched.

  • i hope microsoft takes this as a wake-up call. they have let a leading line of business languish satisfied only with growth, and missing the bigger picture.

congratulations apple! you have shown the world that being late to a market is not an obstacle to success.
