Zealot, great review, as usual. I wrote a review of the Sandisk Sansa View 16GB and found it quite lacking. But it sounds like this is a more solid offering.

I have the Clip 2GB, and it is definitely one of the best MP3 devices I have ever owned. Anyone thinking of an iPod Shuffle should give the Clip a serious look. The Clip has the Shuffle beat in all areas including value.

Another feature I use on the Clip is FM recording. I know many think FM is passe, but unless you have ever song in every genre you enjoy, FM is a nice feature. Additionally, my local NFL team's games are on FM. I may watch the game on TV, but frequently go out after the game, and listen to the post-game show (win or loose) which is 2 and a half hours. I frequently meet a friend for dinner / movie before the post-game show is over, and record the parts of the post-game show I am missing via the FM recording feature included with the Clip. On the way home on the bus, I will listen to the portions of the post-game show I missed. When I bought the Clip, I did not think I would use the FM recording feature, but it has turned out to be a feature I use every Sunday during NFL season.
