I never could understand why Dell stopped, dead in their tracks, when they had such a powerful product and following. My ole Axim still has more features and flexibility than any of the new phones. No matter which toys I look at or try, I still carry my Axim, synched to my computer, with my essentials, in my pocket.. Why would a company sit back and let others roll ahead like this???

The story that I read said Dell might purchase a software company to create their own operating system. No, I'm not sure why they'd do something that crazy -- they've never been in that space before.

And now a bigwig at ASUS has confirmed that they plan to create an Eee phone.

If they would just add the phone part to the existing functionality of the X51V then I would be interested.
