I’m not participating CES (I know, it’s so sad) but from looking at the new Palm Pre pictures and this great video, it definitely looks like an amazing device!

It seems like Palm decided to take most of the iPhone user interface innovative design, enhance it even further, with more finger gestures and some additional improvements (check it out in the video – it really rocks!), combine it with some of the android menus styles, and all while keeping a multi-threaded device with a built in QWERTY keyboard.

A device with cool “spoiling” user interface plus many productivity features and a full keyboard sounds almost… perfect?

I don’t know about you guys, but as a Treo 750 / Pro fan, I’m excited.

No, I’m really excited.

I can’t wait to read Chris’s review of the Palm Pre.

The only thing I'm worried about it this:

Say I'm browsing the internet in landscape mode, and then I need to type something in a text box. With no on-screen keyboard, I have to tilt the device back up vertically to type, then back horizontally to continue browsing.

That would be annoying to me.
  • yes. i love this form factor - slider qwerty with touch-screen that you don't need to turn sideways. this is what i was hoping for from samsung.

Thank God, they did put a desktop dialer program in there.... I was worried, they never showed the phone being a phone. I thought that they had for gotten.
