samsungpropel1 What do you get when you mix Windows Mobile with a feature phone designed for heavy texters? Maybe the Samsung Propel Pro? BGR got the 1st shots of this phone that is a newer, updated version of the Samsung Propel A767 that AT&T already carries. The A767 comes in several color choices, but doesn’t run Windows Mobile. The leaked photo that BGR got clearly shows Window Mobile working on this one.

…the Samsung Propel Pro and it brings pro-level features with it. Things like Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard, an optical joystick (which our ninja says is absolutely worthless), 3G, and we’d guess a camera and what not.

My daughter tried the Non WinMo propel out and loved the keyboard, so we shall see. From the leaked photo, the keyboard looks very similar to that of the BlackJack.

More details when they are available…

  • Why would you do a WM Standard device with a keyboard (and keypad) that slides out? That makes it harder to dial people. I guess it protects the keyboard, but I think I'd prefer the BlackJack.

    @breley:

    The Bootsy Collins ads are in California, too. Can Flava Flav be far behind?

    Propel Pro? Say that fast 3 times... Should have been Samsung Pro2pel (Pro squared)pel...

    The Ozzy Osbourne commercial with the non-Pro Propel is pretty funny: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aypQInhoRK4

    Around here in southern Ohio they've been featuring Bootsy Collins in a radio commercial ending with him saying "Samsung Propel, baby!" Unfortunately, it's gotten stuck in my wife's head so I'm hearing that refrain constantly of late. :)
