Here is something you don’t see everyday. A pocket DJ mixer on your Windows Mobile device. I am not too sure how it will do, but for originality, it’s our App of the Day pick.

DJ Party Mixer is a cool music mixing tool for your phone. You can compile and edit playlists, mix mp3s in realtime, both fully automatic, and manually. It allows you to play with your music collection, throw a dance party or just use it for fun.

On the touchscreen, you can set cue points of mp3 tracks, sort playlists, count the beats per minute and much more. It’s like a virtual DJ mixing console, in the palm of your hand. Make smooth transitions from one music track to the other by setting the start- and end-points of every mp3 file on your phone. Create automatic playlists and watch the faders mix your tunes in realtime. Or mix manually at a any given moment.

    Thanks

Thanks for the tip, good find. I downloaded the trial and it's a really nice piece of software. Has an iPhone like feel to it.
  • apparently, they tried to do this on the iphone, but apple locks the music in itunes, so you can't manipulate tracks so they moved development to the 'winmo' platform.

adds new meaning to the phrase 'party in your pocket' !

Damn. This is the first app for WinMO in about six months that looked like something on the Iphone. Finally.
