W7 is a great product

And you know who did say that? The guy behind Ubuntu, Mark Shuttleworth!

"I’ve kicked the tires on the [Windows 7] beta for a few hours and it was good," Shuttleworth said. "They’ve put concerted attention on the user experience with the shell.

"I think it’s going to be a great product, and every indication is we will see it in the market sooner rather than later."

I hope we get it sooner!

    I installed W7 in a VMWare Fusion VM on my MacBook yesterday. W7 is, indeed, a great product. I did have it crash once, but it's running in a VM, I had RAM set to 768 MB, I had installed VMWare's tools designed for Vista... but once I bumped up the RAM to 1 GB, it has worked great ever since. Of course there is no Aero interface elements, but even without all of that, I still find it the best Windows I have ever run.

    Awesome job, Microsoft.
