Lack of multitasking will do in a lot of iPhone apps.

Personally, I didn't think the iPhone version looked much better than the WinMo version. I'm also not convinced that "finger-friendly scrollable lists" should count for appearance, either; maybe the scroll bars in WinMo count against Windows Mobile (although they show how far down the list you are), but lack of something shouldn't count in the iPhone's favor. (You may count finger-friendly lists in the UI section, of course.)

Speaking of the UI section, it's hard to claim that it looks better based on one screen shot. In the UI section, you only showed the iPhone, with no WinMo screen to compare it with. Worse, basically all you said of substance was "The connection is established quickly, multiple chats can be handled easily, and the application feels much more comfortable."

Does the WinMo version not establish a connection quickly? (And did you compare devices with similar processor and network speeds?) Are multiple chats not handled easily on WinMo? I suppose I can infer that they aren't, but I don't like assuming things like that. And what about the WinMo version is uncomfortable?

It was an interesting read (I don't use fring; I have Palringo on my Motorola Q9m), but some minor improvements would make it even better.

I was using fring and its quite good, then suddenly I have read about Vopium that its a now and growing VoIP provider and offer cheapest calling rates, I have tried and found it pretty good, and the good thing is that Vopium recently launched Vopium Sync Application which make an automatic backup of mobile data. I suggest you to also check it.
