@Ash:

only issue i have…. you can not delete from the site without deleting from the phone, unless you break the connection from the phone..
ex: you want to delete some pics from the website, unless you tell your phone NOT to sync pics anymore, it will delete the file from both the web and the phone….

Well, that's what "synchronize" means. :D

Seriously, confirming the deletion on the device (Do you want to delete the photo only here, or in both locations?) would be nice. The problem with that is, unless Microsoft kept an exception list or compared file timestamps with last sync times, the next time you synced, the photo would be uploaded to the site again (because it wouldn't be there thanks to being deleted previously).

Another nice feature would be if ActiveSync (and related technologies) would allow you to control the direction of information flow -- one-way to the device, one-way to the host or two-way syncing.

For example, if I sync my device at home and with my work PC, I want work items to just sync to my device without non-work items syncing to my work PC. However, at home, I want all items to sync both ways. (In the past, you might have been able to use category syncing to do something similar, but that no longer works past WM 2003 SE.)

I think Starfish Software (from Borland people) had a product that allowed choosing sync direction, but I think it's long gone.

Dashwire has had much of this functionality out for a while now and I prefer it's GUI more. It has other useful stuff like visual voicemail, stringed conversations, call history and even the ability to change the phone's ringtone from your computer. I would love to see a comparison between the two products!
