Yep, they were real. With all this being put out there unofficially an now officially, there is nothing left to surprise us I guess. I was provided with some early, real screenshots of Windows Mobile in action over the weekend. Enjoy. Hit the break for a video of Windows Mobile 6.5 being run on a Touch HD as well. It’s not an official video, just one Leigh Geary share with us over the weekend.

These are pretty hot to me. Makes me somewhat excited to see how 7 looks. Can this bring new life to Windows Mobile? The theme in these photos sure beat that ugly bird in all the leaked images.

Is that a real, honest web browser that can play videos that I see? With zoom? With flash and java? Really?

Will it even have a real email client with multiple accounts, different send/receive servers, and all the other fun stuff we take for granted using Flexmail?

Wow. I might actually be enthusiastic about getting a new phone in the future. Right now my futuristic to 2002 me Sprint Mogul feels clunky and archaic. And I’m not just talking about its size and weight.

Right now, Windows Mobile just looks and feels and works like Windows 98, no matter the glossy overlay you put on it with aftermarket software.

I haven’t heard anything about changes to Messaging.

However, you might want to explain what you mean more fully. Messaging has always supported multiple accounts with (as far as I know) different Send/Receive servers. If you mean multiple Exchange accounts, that’s a different matter (but, as I said, I haven’t heard that’s supported; I think MyPhone won’t back up PIM data if you’re already using an Exchange account, for example.)
