There are some programs that are good, some that are great and a few that are just downright AWESOME! Spb TV is one of those programs that I consider AWESOME! I have been using it for the past week and have been totally pleased and incredibly impressed.
Today at CTIA Wireless, Spb Software announced the release of Spb TV – a practical mobile TV player with patent-pending on-screen controls and fast...

I don’t have an iPhone but I do use Skype; it is an invaluable resource for me in my everyday Windows Mobile routine especially when I am in Maine where cell signals are often rare at the shore. There has been a lot of discussion that it was coming but it is here. Skype has released their iPhone client for download from the Apple App Store.
The ability to use VOIP calls on Wi-Fi (as well as Skype...

Well, April Fools Day is upon us, and therefore so is the newest internet Armageddon media darling, the Conficker worm.aka Win32 Conficker.A or Downadup. Discovered back in October of 2008, the Conficker worm has been notoriously hard to eradicate, can jump from computer to computer via such innocent dupes as flash drives and SD cards, is thought to be have silently infected massive numbers of PCs (between 9 and 15 million,...
Wibrain will start developing and selling the Wibrain M1 MID in Korean market, this according to news from AVING USA, page that has published today some very good pictures of this device.

According to news published today at Android Community:
Google has reportedly pulled tethering apps from the Android Market. According to at least one developer, who contributed to the WiFi Tether for Root Users app, Google are citing their distribution agreements with carriers as the prompt for removal:
“Google enters into distribution agreements with device manufacturers and Authorized Carriers to place the...

Chris just caught this over at Phone Arena and it sounds very cool! Apparently, Verizon is preparing to launch a device known as the MiFi 2200. This looks like it will be a personal Hotspot with built-in rechargeable battery. Your laptop will connect to it via WiFi (or USB cable) and then the MiFi 2200 connects to Verizon’s EVDO data network.
Not much is known right now so we will have to hope that Chris...

Sorry Cnet, I just cut and pasted your title. There is not better way of putting it though. This is apparently going to be released and made available from iTunes on Tuesday at CTIA, but Cnet got some time with it a touch early.
Months after teasing us at CES with an announcement of Skype’s native VoIP client for the iPhone, the free Skype for iPhone will finally be available to download from the iTunes App Store...

Ok, CTIA kicks off tomorrow (well technically Wednesday, but..), but AT&T has jumped out front of the crowd by announcing 6 new phones today.
The Samsung Propel Pro is the one I has waiting on checking out. It’s a WinMo slider. It will be available in a couple weeks for $149.99 with contract. One of the hottest items all around the blogoshere has been the Nokia E71x. It’s a super thin phone with a...

Foxit’s PDF Reader is to me one of the best PDF Reader available in the market. Their freeware version loads a lot faster than Adobe’s Reader. Now they are releasing a eBook reader loaded with a version of their PDF Reader so I’m expecting to read really good comments about this device which is at the same time one of the cheapest readers in the market.
Foxit’s eSlick is still about the cheapest way to get...

So, with all that fancy jazzy features that Apple has just been stuffing into the iPhone, it’s nice to see that Apple is working on improving an integral part of the iPhone – web browsing.
Although not officially announced by Apple, Ars over there did some testing, and it shows the iPhone 3.0 MobileSafari browser to render Javascript three times faster.
What does this mean? Well, you won’t get much of a...
That’s a good question and one that Phone Arena has taken some time to speculate/formulate. Between the 4 scheduled events that have HTC in the title that I have setup for next week, I plan to hit the floor and mingle with some carrier PR folks, but what exactly is going to drop that is new and/or jaw dropping? One of the lingering issues that CTIA has suffered the last couple years is that it follows shortly...

Nothing official here, but according to JKontheRun, a guy named Jim Van is beta testing the Palm Pre and has been tweeting about it recently. He has indicated that April 30th is the release date for the Pre on Sprint. We shall see…
Here is some info that he tweeted recently regarding the Pre. You can’t verify this since it seems that Jim has since protected his updates.
Got Pre to work on Twitter, but it’s...

So you read the post below about SlingPlayer Mobile is now available and lets you watch and control your home TV and DVR via your Slingbox on your BlackBerry smartphone BUT you don’t have a Blackberry! Bummer!
Wait a second, it is not an issue at all because there is a FREE BlackBerry Bold Refurb Package available NOW at AT&T. How cool is that? That is right folks, if you want a Blackberry...

For those of you that have a Blackberry, SlingPlayer Mobile is now available and lets you watch and control your home TV and DVR via your Slingbox on your BlackBerry smartphone. Cool! You may have heard that AT&T is about to start selling iPhone without contract, now Apple is selling them at their stores too. The price is a little high, but no contract means that you’ll save money in the long run.
While the phones are still technically locked to AT&T service, it is possible (but not supported) to unlock the phones for use with other mobile service providers. In the US, that is largely...
I read over at Slashphone that this innovative stylus for the iPhone is now available from Amazon. There are 4 colors to choose from and grabbing one will only set you back around $15.

Last night I was trying to figure out what was taking up so much memory in my pocket pc and my laptop hard-drive. I used Windows Explorer and searched through all the files and folders for the culprits. But it was very tedious because folders don’t show their size in the Windows Explorer columns. Check out the screen shot below:
