According to HTC CEO Peter Cho, HTC’s expectations for the G1 were exceeded and you can expect at least 3 more this year. Wow. That’s a lot of Android love from HTC in a year huh?

At the sidelines of a Merrill Lynch technology conference in Taipei, HTC CEO Peter Chou was asked whether or not a report saying HTC will market five Android-based handsets this year was true.

HTC will launch “at least” three, he replied, declining further comment on the matter.

That three includes the Magician on Vodaphone that was already announced at MWC, I think. Given how many WinMo devices HTC releases in a year, I don’t think three is that much love for Android.

I hope the devices are better looking than the G1, though. :D
