Just some notes about what to expect from Mobilitysite moving forward…
Where is Chris? If you are a regular here, you’d notice that we’ve been a little quieter than normal over here. There is no denying that. There are various reasons for that, but I can assure you that we are still committed to bringing you Mobility News, Mobilitysite style. We are still here and still. I will admit that my own lack of participation has multiple reasons as well. I have been busy in my job and there hasn’t been much in Mobility that has excited me lately. Not much at all. Jack has been a little quiet too. He is recovering from multiple trips in the last couple months, CES 2009, Microsoft MVP Summit, etc… Anyhow, just putting it out there. I will be in Las Vegas next week for CTIA Wireless 2009. I will have some reporting to do there. - Podcasting – Do we still want podcasts here? I have cleaned out my office over the weekend and under all the clutter, I found a mixing board. Tracing some of the wires back, I found a microphone connected to it. Wonder what that is for? What do you think? Bring it back?
- iPhone Coverage? I recently did some talking with our staff and realized that quite a few of my Axim reviewers are using iPhones now. I knew of a couple, but didn’t realize how many were. I don’t wanna slam the front page here with iPhone reviews, but these guys want to share their thoughts about apps and accessories for the iPhone, so we’re working on something there. Standby for launch. I will remind you that Mobilitysite is made up of many opinions. Many of our core are Windows Mobile Enthusiasts that have used WinMo for quite some time. This site will have a lean towards WinMo by default. That’s natural and should be embraced. Myself, I love WinMo, but I see the good in iPhone, Android, and even PalmOS.
- Videos – I lost my video camera not too long ago. I replaced it with a cheap HD camera, but was not happy with it. I now have another that I am playing with, so videos are coming again soon. I also found my old video camera after the 2nd HD camera purchase too.
- Forums – The issues that are prevalent in the forums right now are being addressed. I have sent out my beacon for my cleanup hitter to come in and debug a couple issues I can not seem to resolve myself.
- Traffic – I am pleased to inform you all that despite my recent inactivity, Mobilitysite’s traffic and RSS subscriptions have increased. It makes me wonder if I should stay inactive. hehe… We are on our way to 10,000 RSS subscribers. Thanks to everyone that reads our dribble via RSS. Come by and comment sometime!
Thanks for reading and I apologize for the lack luster showing here lately.
