This is an interesting product, but I am just getting used to my newly purchased Sony Vaio UX490N. If these UMPC’s are to come out with full operating systems and not CE or something else, 16gb SSD is not enough as I feel the lack of space will be a deterent. I have a 48gb SSD (Vista recovery steals 8gb from that, and I added for now an 8gb memory stick. I run full versions of office, QuickBooks, Quicken, and a few other programs along with my data. These “crossover” products have a tough time finding a target market. At first I got the UX490N as a Dell Axim X51v replacement and am now finding it is so much more, thus, more storage space is a necessity.
And I am pretty happy with Vista’s performance with the 1gb ram i have, so I am assuming this Wibrain with 1gb of ram running either linux or XP should be pretty quick, especially with an SSD.
