You might see something above of interest. Not that the iPhone had 111% growth in 2008. It’s the fact that HTC remained pretty constant. The one thing this chart doesn’t show though. It doesn’t indicate sales of HTC devices that were made by HTC but sold through other means.

Under the name HTC, Gartner counts only the company’s own-branded devices. The devices that HTC designs for mobile operators are shown separately under the operators’ names in these statistics. 

It’s really hard to get a good snapshot of the OS battle from the manufactures though, especially since HTC now makes devices running Android too. Here is another chart from the report that shows the Operating System numbers…
