Or any family member that you want to locate?  AT&T FamilyMap does!

AT&T is offering a new service that will let you know where your kids and loved ones are at any time!  You can try it for free for 30 days then you will charged $9.99 per month to locate up to two family members (or $14.99 per month thereafter to locate up to five family members) unless you cancel service.

I suppose it does offer peace of mind to know where your child is….

Check it out here at AT&T FamilyMap

  • That seems a bit expensive. Personally, I'd rather they increase everybody's bill $1.00 per month and make the service standard. That way everybody can access it when they need it without having to worry about having to add the service in an emergency, I don't have to decide if it's worth the cost or not, and AT&T can amortize the expense across their entire user base (possibly making even more money than making it a la carte).

I realize that contracts may not allow price increases (although carriers seem to be able to increase text message costs with no penalty other than having to allow people to break their contract early with no early termination fee), but maybe contracts could change to say that prices can go up once the contract expires.

If Verizon made this service available for $1.00 per line per month on my family plan, I wouldn't complain. I doubt I'd pay $10.00 per month to track my wife and daughter, though.
