HTC Touch Diamond is NOW on Verizon

For those of you that are on the Verizon Network and have been wanting the Touch Diamond, it is officially there giving you all of the TouchFlo 3D goodness.

The new HTC Touch Diamond™ combines all the performance and functionality of Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional with high–tech, innovative TouchFLO™ 3D Technology on its hi–res touchscreen. View, create, and edit documents in Word and Excel®, view PowerPoint® and PDF files, filter your Inbox, and stay connected – securely – with your office via ActiveSync® or Wireless Sync. Take advantage of Wi–Fi connectivity, Bluetooth® Wireless Technology and its 3.2 MP camera with flash and video capture.   • Or, if you don't mind not getting TouchFlo 3D and can get by with only a 240x400 screen, you can get the Samsung Omnia for $100 less -- with a 5 MP camera and 8 GB on-board storage (I don't think this Diamond has any extra internal storage -- the original had 4 GB, but no memory slot).

    I got my Omnia during March, when it was $100, so combined with my New Every 2 discount, it was basically free (after the $70 rebate and before sales tax).

    I do miss the dedicated keyboard of my Motorola Q9m (RIP), but the ability to scroll quickly again is nice. I really wanted the Samsung Saga, which is a QWERTYbar world phone, but my local Verizon didn't have that in stock and I needed a phone quickly (and it's more expensive).
