		<description>If I&#039;m not mistaken, if you are already infected with any of the Conficker variants it will block your attempts to run Windows Update, update antivirus definitions, etc.

There are utilities that you can download that will clean your computer of Conficker - if you are already infected, you may need to download it from another PC first and then run it on the infected PC. Here is one from Symantec (which calls Conficker &quot;downadup&quot; - they are the same thing). I think that it&#039;s pretty important to follow the instructions completely:
