A few days ago I commented about the Celio Redfly adding support for BlackBerrys. I came across that bit of information first while researching to purchase a Celio RedFly myself and then while I’ve been …

T-Mobile Release Dates Uncovered?

tmonews Not sure about the validity of this “leak”, but TmoNews would be one that might very well get the leaks on these type things eh? According to them, the following phones are coming to T-Mobile.

  • HTC “Maple”/”Snap” – July 1st (contrary to earlier speculation, this seems to confirm a T-Mobile variant)
  • HTC “Rhodium”/Wing II – July 22nd (also known as the Touch Pro 2)
  • HTC “Sapphire”/”Magic” – TBD. Sorry folks.. we’ll keep you posted (a.k.a. G2)

These dates seem to be inline with the customary timeframe the US Carriers need to get a device through the FCC, BUT… and a big but, WM Experts is reporting that the HTC Rhodium (the Touch Pro II) has already hit the FCC. That would lead me to believe that we should see something before July 22nd, but this is just a guess obviously.

The cool thing is that these are the 3 devices that HTC showed at MWC and CTIA. I had a chance to play with all 3 and I would be lying if I said that I didn’t like the Touch Pro II. Sure would love to see it as the Tilt 2 sooner than the Wing II since I use AT&T.

    Chris,

Do you know offhand if the Touch Pro 2 will support tethering - either hardwired or via WiFi?

Also, I assume there are adapters out there that will allow one to plug a standard mini headphone/headset jack into the USB port on the Touch Pro 2....?

    Thanks,
    Joel
