It\'s is possible that the information within this article is now out of date or updated.

Maybe so, but I doubt seriously it will be around the time they suggest in the leaked AT&T slide. September? Wow. That is lofty. I think Chris at Engadget said it best, “…but seeing we’ll be lucky to have 6.5 devices in our hands by then, this date has undoubtedly slipped since the slide was made” No way possible in my opinion. That’s not really the point though, the point is that we have info about what will likely be one of the 1st WinMo 7 devices and to top that off, it’s advertised to be using one of them there fancy dancy Snapdragon processors. This is the  Qualcomm QSD 8650 Snapdragon CPU that runs at 1ghz. Looking good so far, throw in that slide out keyboard and there is even more excitement in store for WinMo fans!

Look good to you? Me too. Just don’t expect it in 2009 in my opinion.

  • There are no official details on windows mobile 7 at this time. Windows mobile 6.5 isn't even out yet... However, with 6.5 being a dot release and version 7 being a major release I am sure we can expect quite a few innovative additions that would be expected for a major release. Windows mobile has a long history dating back about 13 years or so and this alone make me very comfortable knowing that MS will be here and support this great mobile OS.
  • They're claiming 18-bit color, too. That seems to be one of the longest unchanging features in Windows Mobile. When will we see 24-bit color? ;)
