That makes sense, but I can only read what's written. :D My assumption was that he had seen a picture of the OQO closed and assumed that it didn't have a keyboard at all.

As for the practicality of the keyboard, I'll have to defer to your experience. I never got the opportunity to play with an OQO.

I think he means a touch type keyboard. The OQO has a thumb based slider which I agree is not very good for desktop programs. A thumb based slider is ok for a phone but the OQO was a full desktop computer so that type of keyboard is not practical at all. I agree I tried one at a store but after spending over an hour on it got fed up with how awkward the slider was for Windows. I would have bought one if they made it a longer clamshell that had a touch type keyboard.

What are you talking about? It had a slide out keyboard (like many smart phones do).

Where did you see that quotation? I just visited the OQO Web site and didn't see anything like that on any of the pages that I checked. (That doesn't necessarily mean much, of course. When a company I used to work for went belly up, their Web site seemd to function for a while and they didn't put out a Good Bye press release.)

Also, remember that not offering support and service isn't necessarily the same as the company dying. Maybe they're just stopping the cash sinks and continuing sales until they can reorganize or find a buyer. However, their online store page seems to be down, so maybe not. :D
