I've been feeling old and out of the techloop lately as I walk around with a few devices and no longer have a data plan. It did not seem worth the monthly fees for my surfing addiction when I should be working at work and usually spend nights on line where I can explore and play wirelessly on my laptop or netbook. Now I really am sad because my morning synch: grabbing a cup of coffee and filling my Axim X50 with AvantGo channels: newspapers, updates and jokes.... Well, it's over. I've tried a few new phones but have yet to find a replacement for my PPC. It has my PDA and files from work and PDF articles and on and on. I am addicted to my games and delight in having all that information on two expansion cards. So losing AvantGo is a big chunk of my daily life. I'm sure there are other ways to fill on information to last the day, but right now it is a big blow. Somehow it seemed like AvantGo would be there, always, for Winmobile 2003 as well as the newer versions. What a sad day!

This is seriously sad news. For years now, I have read the New York Times, Salon, CNET, ReadWriteWeb, Alternet, Sporting News, and other pubs on long flights and everynight in bed before going to sleep--all organized for me in a very handheld friendly format. I haven't seen any alternatives that work so well and so easily to grab content for a Palm device. Have you?
