hero20080711[1] Now that we have a small “insurance policy” for our iDevices with the new Find My iPhone service, I think that MobileMe is a must have for anybody with an iPhone or iPod Touch.  I was lucky, I picked mine up on Amazon last week for $59.99!  While that deal is gone unfortunately, you can still pick up a single user license for $70.49.  The only bummer is that you have to wait for them to ship you a retail package.  If you are in need of a family pack you can get that for $99.99 which is $50 cheaper than buying it direct from Apple.

Best Buy is also running a promotion for MobileMe which includes a free $15 iTunes gift card.  However, you have to pay the full $99.  I was able to confirm with my Best Buy’s Apple “kiosk guy” that if they price match anything, the free gift card instantly goes away.  Best Buy can’t match Amazon’s prices anyway which is unfortunate but I think it has to do with the fact that they are are an online retailer and not a local store.
