att I thought I would just pass this on (again) for those of you that might have missed these announcements.  There are two ROM upgrades that AT&T has announced.  The HTC FUZE upgrade has been widely reported on a number of sites but in case you somehow missed it, you can get it here. The landing page provides additional detail and instructions.

Simultaneously, LG has officially released the LG Incite ROM upgrade which is now available for download from the LG support site. This has not been widely reported but is a great upgrade for users of this model. So how do you get the upgrade for the incite?  Click this link: http://mobilephones.us.lge.com/support.aspx then follow these instructions:

Select AT&T for Carrier, Select Incite for model,

Click LG Incite software update button in far right column

Download to a folder of your choice, run and follow the directions

The latest stock Fuze ROM release is much faster; I've noticed a considerable speed increase when accessing the \Windows folder for example from within Resco Explorer. One difference I noted was that removing the PTT (Push To Talk) peskiness seems to have changed. The previous ROMs required deletion HKLM/Services/PTT and HKCU\Software\HTC\PTT followed by renaming PTT to something like _PTT and then creating a new PTT folder and changing its attributes to System and Read-Only. The new ROM is missing a PTT folder. For kicks I installed and configured AE Button Plus and remapped the PTT key, rebooted the device and so far I haven't seen hair nor hide of the PTT app. We'll see how this goes.

Breley - with the new ROM you can simply go into BUTTONS in the settings, select the PTT button and remap it to NONE, or to whatever you would like. The one option that was not in there that I would have liked was toggling wifi -- but I can get to that by either using AE Button plus or getting a mini app for it and remapping in the Button screen.

I agree with you -- everything is running a lot smoother with the new ROM.

<sheepishly> Yes, I discovered that shortly after I posted. That's what I get for trying to multitask....

I hadn't expected such a radical change, but perhaps HTC/AT&T were listening to their client base. Yes, AE Button Plus is a very handy tool for getting the most out of the Fuze.
