All the Pre seems to have over the iPhone is a physical keyboard. But I have also never played with the Pre so I don’t know too much there.

What about multi-tasking?

By the way, the new Apple iPhone 3GS commercial is a joke. You know, the one that says "with video and other amazing features". Yeah, video is such an amazing feature that dumb phones have had it for years and it took Apple two years to add it to the iPhone. (Where's the "rolling eyes" icon when you need it.)

Maybe the amazing features included copy/paste. Oops, no, Windows Mobile touchscreen devices have had that for like, what, 10 years? But, hey, they have a digital compass! (Of course, with GPS, if you're moving, you can get a bearing anyway....)

While their numbers make sense, I can't see this campaign cutting much ice. Time and time again it has been proven that Apple users are very brand loyal despite paying premium prices. In fact they often take the fact they pay more for their favored gear to be a point of pride and distinction.

Whether you say this is due to product quality, due to a desire to buy into the Apple mystique and lifestyle, or due to social/peer group status issues depends on how you feel about the House that Jobs Built.
