I recently read where the smartphone market was up over 68% in the US. I am not sure if the global market tracks with this, but I suspect there has been significant growth as well. Clearly HTC and others like Toshiba and Samsung are investing heavily into the smartphone market. I think all of them will test the new netbook and hybrid market. The next 12 to 15 months is going to be critical for market adoption. HTC is really coming out with a lot of new devices this summer. Based on all the review so far for the Touch Pro 2 and Diamond 2 running windows mobile 6.5 this will also be a huge hit for both. It is highly likely that some of the new Zune HD features will make it into windows mobile 7 and this should be a huge hit for both as well.
