icon-128x128-reflectedArt changes with every generation. Today many artists are venturing to digital forms of artistic expression. More people are adapting the iPhone into their personal and business life, and of those people are artists who have discovered a new viable pallete.

Many Artists are using their iPhones to create masterpieces.

Layers, a new app that uses natural media painting brushes, gives you tools to design works of art.

Today I downloaded the app and was just amazed. It works similar to Photoshop and many image editing programs. It uses up to 5 transparent layers for drawing canvas. So basically you can create separate elements like foreground, mid-ground, and background. Included are custom brushes and infinite range color picker.

The coolest part things I found:
1. it allows you to pinch the screen and zoom in to add detail
2. shaking the phone brings up the menu
3. the menu has an undo button
4. color picker has a zoom feature
5. and the ability to export your work of art into photoshop (requires free mac application available here )

Whether you use the app for drawing or therapeutic doodling, you’ll find it an uber cool portable painting app for your iPhone.

Get Inspired. Get Layers at the App Store here.
