I don’t know if anyone remembers a post I made back in May, but it was me getting a little excited to see HP jumping back into the picture. You know that I have a big soft spot in my heart for Dell and HP. Anyhow, an AT&T road map blew up some secrets about some devices, including the HP iPAQ K3. Well, that HP iPAQ K3 leak we talked about is becoming more of a reality now…

Yeah… what you see above is what I call hot stuff. AT&T Branding, Windows Mobile 6.5, and a name that’s a blast from the past, iPAQ. I am totally in love with my Touch Pro 2, but after using the HTC Snap a couple days, I am loving the front facing keyboard a little more each day. It’s a love/hate, back/forth battle I deal with everyday.

GSM Arena is saying that this should hit the AT&T Shelves in Novemeber. Is this an iPAQ you can get down with? I am excited to be honest.

Looks like they added a mini plug for earbuds in addition to the mini-usb. Previous version should have had this.

I am a huge fan of the front facing keyboard in conjunction with large (user friendly) keys - i think it makes for a better email platform. I too have a soft spot in my heart of the IPAQ going back to my trusty 3630. My carrier is Verizon and my current device is the A4500 / “Q9Napoleon” (Q9C and Q before that). I love the Q’s form factor, but miss the touch screen interface. I had high hopes for the similarly configured Samsung Saga (with WinMo Pro), but ultimately found its performance and usability a bit lacking. I doubt Verizon will pick the IPAQ up (I wish they would) but perhaps its successful launch will keep the form factor alive.
