I am catching up on some action I’ve missed and it’s amazing looking back how fruitful this summer has been in the smartphone world. There has been an insane amount of new devices hit the carriers this summer. I thought a poll was in order to see what everyone is liking.

Out of all the hot phones that have hit the market lately (or soon to hit the market), which one would you pick if you could choose just one with no carrier restrictions?

* I am sure I missed a few, so feel free to leave a comment with what phones I missed.

I pick the HTC Touch Pro 2. I already have the unlocked version and I love it. I am waiting patiently for the AT&T version to hit the streets.

What did you pick and why?

  • What no retro love for the Samsung SPH-i700 or the Hitachi G1000? :D

Seriously, I just read today that the HTC Omni may get revived. That looks like it could be a hot phone.

  • I agree that you need to add a Treo Pro. I have been very very happy with it.

If I COULDN'T get a Treo Pro, I would probably go with a Touch Pro 2.

Palm Treo Pro isn't in the list. I chose the iPhone. Now that they've included basic functions and have improved their direct push sync, it seems the fun phone to have. They all have their shortcomings, though.
