Microsoft Exchange Server 2007

In the past, there was (supposedly) a rule about Android phones and custom builds.  The rule was that any phone running a customized build of Android cannot have the Google branding on it.  Since Exchange support wasn’t in Android by default, a version of Android with Exchange was customized.  Therefore an Android phone with Exchange couldn’t have a Google logo on it.

T-Mobile’s myTouch3G seems to contradict this as it has Android with Exchange AND a Google logo.  The folks at Engadget spoke with a Google rep and found out that that rule had never actually existed.  They said that any Android phone could have Exchange and still have a Google logo on it.  So if you use Exchange and want an Android phone, nothing’s stopping you now.

I personally don’t care about Exchange since I have no real use for it, but some folks need that and that’s why I posted it.
