As I mentioned in my last post, I love my Touch Pro 2. Since I don’t have 3G in my area, the European, unlocked, Touch Pro 2 works just great for me. We’ll have 3G in the next couple months, so I do need to get the AT&T branded version when it hits, but until them, I am fine. If you are a T-Mobile customer, the wait is almost over according to GSM Arena

We just got word on the exact release dates of some of the hottest new gadgets that are going to hit the T-Mobile shelves in the following weeks. Thanks to an anonymous tipster we now know that the subscribers of one of the largest carriers worldwide will be treated to a series of QWERTY-enabled handsets, with the Touch Pro2 the obvious star signing.

The new T-Mobile Touch Pro2 is scheduled to launch on August 12, replacing the T-Mobile Wing in the handset lineup. One of the best-equipped WinMo handsets of all times paid our office a visit for an in-depth review not too long ago

There you have it, the wait is almost over guys and gals.

WOO HOO! How much will this puppy cost with a 2 year renewal from T-mo you think? More than $200?
  • ajbopp
Because no US carriers support video conferencing so a front-facing camera isn't terribly useful.
  • mcgarret
Could'nt you skype video chat over the internet?
  • ajbopp
What you *can* do and what the carrier supports doing or wants you to do are entirely different things. ;)

hi do you know around when the touch pro 2 will be released for AT&T? i'm dying to update from my tilt!
  • diesel7
Any word on the release for Sprint?
  • badersk
I so want this phone when it hits at&t. It is the real replacement for the tilt
  • There won't be a front facing camera on a US version, at least there has not been one yet. Some of the HTC "Unlocked" or European versions have had this front facing camera, but US releases have left them off. I guess they think the US user don't want to do video conferencing on mobiles. /shrug

No front camera? Where did you get your info?
  • Unless we are all talking about different things, I am talking about the video conferencing, front facing camera that the Euro HTC Touch Pro 2 has that the T-Mobile branded version apparently does not have.

If we are talking about something else, let me know.

    WOW.... Good eye Chris.
    I hope Tmobile rethinks this.
No front camera + no mini headphone jack = no tmobile renewal!
