Yes. I have been speculating, but over the weekend, some proof has made this somewhat for sure now. I have been happily using the HTC Touch Pro 2 for a couple months now and I am going to be really happy to switch over to an AT&T branded version as soon as it comes out. I have no issues with the HTC Touch Pro 2 made for the folks overseas since I don’t have 3G here yet, but it’s coming soon… so they say. Without delay, check out this juicy info…

BGR found a document with the HTC ST7377 TILT 2 listed on it. Could that be the Touch Pro 2, me thinks so… In fact, today, Engadget Mobile unearthed this image of a branded AT&T device that sure looks a lot like a Touch Pro 2. What do you think. Joy Joy. No release date or official confirmation is known yet, but I will be sure to share that info when we get it. Also look out for some commentary about the Touch Pro 2 and how it’s kind of taken the enthusiasm out of me with all other mobile news. It will explain some things for sure.

I can get you (and that means anyone) an HTC Touch Pro 2 (GSM - AT&T Tilt 2) for $250.00. There's also a $25.00 S&H charge; as that's the freight that I am charged.

Check out this generic HTC web site, with details on the HTC Touch Pro 2

    (Un-locked AT&T Tilt 2) handset.

The web site references to a different price. I can get you one for $250 + $25.00 S&H (no rebate - no contract - The handset & all of the standard included HTC "In The Box" accessories.

And, I can get you one for the same price in CDMA; if someone's opted not to go with AT&T.

Visa / MasterCard / Amex / Discover accepted after 10/5/09

I wonder why htc doesnt release i full quadband wolrd version of this phone like they did with the tilt(kaiser/TyTn II). I would have bought it already if the 3G would work like it works on my kaiser.

I LOVE that front-facing camera on this phone!!! Oh...wait...it's gone. Thanks, AT&T.
  • The sleekest phone ever! the number pad location is actually pretty good! I don't like it when it's on the left.

    two quick things:
1- really wish they stayed with the dedicated numbers row. ALMOST want to switch to Tmob just for that ( i know stupid)

2- who ever is 'leaking' these photos, please be careful, we can almost see your name on your att name tag.

Well, I think it's pretty convenient that this leak came so close before the release of the T-Mobile version of the phone. I think maybe some higher ups at AT&T were trying to keep some folks from switching for a phone that they weren't sure they could get from AT&T, maybe? Or at least stall them into waiting for the Tilt 2 to see which is better? P.s. I think the name tag was brilliant if that were the case.

As to the keyboard, I've gotta agree. These phones are a portable version of our computers, in a way. I think AT&T may be looking to keep the keyboard the same as the Tilt, with some sound logic; however, I personally would prefer to have the keyboard mimic that of my computer. QWERTY has been around since the 1800's. As I am willing to carry around the extra baggage for a "full qwerty" keyboard, shouldn't I get something that better resembles a "full qwerty" keyboard now that it is possible. Leave it up to "higher ups" in giant US phone organizations in to decide that international standards (at least in English speaking countries) come second to competition.

This same culture is a contributor to the fact that we get our new phone models so much later than Europe where standards are not only in place for cellular technology, they are law. If I could make one phone for all of Europe but had to manufacture four different phones for the United States. I wonder which would be easier and result in the fastest returns, one assembly line or four.

(sorry "Guest", replied to wrong comment). I will say to you though that AT&T is probably moderating your connection speeds where you could be surfing faster on TMo depending on your location - at least for now. I've been thinking about making the jump to TMo for that reason but want to see the AT&T version of the phone first.
