Motorola Blurs Past TouchWiz and Sense

Samsung has TouchWiz, HTC skinned their Hero with Sense, and now Motorola has decided to infuse the user experience with a little more than just minor fixes. According to Boy Genius Report, Motorola seeks to skin the Android OS with “Blur.” Users will be “heavily connected” to social networking sites with the new UI’s auto-updating over air capabilities.
All Android devices will be able to upgrade different sections of the OS and interface all over the air. There’s been something mentioned about a device key that’s attached to your email and passwords for your social networking accounts. What this presumably does is let all the content be pushed right to the device from the web which includes updates and actual upgrades.
If Blur will instantly push content to handsets, the Nokia N97, HTC Sense UI, and Samsung TouchWiz will have some strong competition. The whole reason why the Nokia N97 is still so appealing is the capability of having detailed web content updates, like Facebook and Twitter statuses, on a home screen without having to open full applications. There’s a lot to be said for easily accessible, auto-updating, rich content, and Motorola is ready to innovate. Let’s just see how much.
