Remember this?
Brochure in the seat pouch, WiFi found at 10k feet, Live Basketball in flight!!!
These were photos I took on a Southwest flight back in April when returning from CTIA. This was a trial for inflight WiFi by Southwest. It could not have come a better time either. It was NCAA Tourney time and with this WiFi and my laptop streaming the ballgames, my area of the plane looked like a bar in the terminal.
Well everyone, Forbes brings us some great news!!!
Southwest Airlines Co. says it’s finished testing Wi-Fi Internet access on four aircraft and plans to expand the service to all its planes beginning early next year.
It won’t be free like my encounter, but really… how much is WiFi worth to you at 20,000 feet? Depending on the length of the flight, I would easily pay $10 or so. What about you?
