OCZ recently announced it’s new line of Solid State Drives, called Colossus…and they ain’t kidding. The drives are designed to serve as external storage and in desktop PCs and will have a write speed of 261MB/s.
The big story about these drives is just that…BIG. The Colossus SSD will be available in some very impressive capacities, starting at 128GB and continuing to 256GB. 512GB and a whopping 1TB. Of course, with bit storage come big price tags, as the 1TB model will sell for $2200 but will also be able to be used as a RAID drive.
OCZ says the drives will be available this month in the US.
