Seth from AT&T explains MMS and how it relates to the iPhone. This is in response to the criticisms that AT&T gets online about the subject. This 3 minute video explains what AT&T is doing to be ready for September 25th, 2009.  This is an issue that has been on the block a while. Adam Wyss posted about the availability on the iPhone blog a few days ago.

  • toooo late!!! they should've done this a long time ago... now, people just associate AT&T with bad network coverage. i don't think that's what they want people to think but hey.. that's what you get when you don't address comments right away!

This sounds like a bogus explanation. I wonder if any other carrier blocks MMS for only ONE model of mobile phone they sell which has MMS capability, like AT&T does for the iPhone? AT&T has MMS enabled for all sorts of other devices they sell - so what if their iPhone subscribers were using those other phones & there wasn't an iPhone - would their system not be able to support MMS for ANY user, then?
