AT&T Touch Pro 2 Coming on October 6th (update 18th)?

closeThis post was published 2 months 11 days ago which may make its actuality or expire date not be valid anymore. This site is not responsible for any misunderstanding.

ATT Touch Pro 2That’s what BGR is saying. I sure hope so. Anyone want to buy a 4 month old EU, unlocked Touch Pro 2 now? I will have the AT&T version promptly either way.

UPDATE: This is sad update, no catastrophic, but sad. Thanks to Zach over at BGR for the update…

It looks like the target release date of the 6th will be missed due to a few bugs that still need to be ironed out and tested. The new target is apparently October 18th

Anyhow, I guess we can expect it to come with Windows Mobile 6.5 since October 6th is WinMo 6.5 launch day.

Is the AT&T Touch Pro 2 what you’ve been waiting on?

I suppose, Eric -- but I have gotten used to using the function key for numbers on my Fuze -- and I REALLY LIKE all of the symbols available on that top row.
  • Oct. 18, Man, What a bunch of Crap! AT&T Stinks. I need some info on the Tilt 2 so I can decide to go ahead and dump them and get theTP2 somewhere else. There is a reason that AT&T always trends on Twitter and is usually followed by the word FAIL.

I would like to strangle the guy at AT&T who keeps on changing the keyboard layout. This device has five rows of keys. You don't need to push the function key to type in a number.

It is about time. I just hope my tilt can hold up until I am eligible for an upgrade. I think the swim it went for 6 months ago is starting to have an affect.
  • Holding out for the Leo (which is Windows Phone 6.5, also.)
  • No idea on pricing. I would expect somewhere around $250-300 w/ contract or so...

Wow, Chris - that is great news!
Have you heard anything about pricing?
I am actually up for the two year contract renewal, so I could get this for their better price.
Good for the gadgeteer; bad bad BAD for the wallet!

Yes it is, but now i'm wondering if the new snapdragon processor is the one to have. The only thing i don't know/remember is if that "Leo" (was that it's name?) is an Android phone, which I am seriously NOT interested in.
