xchange magazine today presented Samsung Mobile, the #1 mobile phone provider in the U.S, with the Best of 4G Award for the Samsung Mondi in the Mobile Internet Device category. The awards recognize leaders in the development, deployment and service of next-generation telecom technology. Nominations were open to all parties involved in 4G technology, products and services, and selected by a panel of 4G subject matter experts.

This is a hot little hybrid device. It’s not really a phone, but it’s really not a MID either. It does run Windows Mobile though. I do wonder though, what competition did it have? It’s the only WiMax MID around right now, right? Anyhow, it’s sweet looking either way. I had a chance to place with one back at CTIA in March and it was pretty slick. Jack posted about it right here as well.
